Finally finished! After a week of labor on this little baby it's finally born!!! ... Ok, enough of this maternal BS!

Description: A squadron of "Sparrow Starfighter", at the service of the "U.F.P.", are patrolling the area near platform "Yagah-D41" orbiting the planet "Ningar-Ahad". A convoy of "Jangerian" ships just arrived and are being inspected... they carry only spices so they are free to go... sorry, no battle here tonight.

The Making of: Pencil pic, scanned and CGed using GIMP... Check out an animation of the making of here: [link]

LOL For some reason this reminds me of that BackStreet Boys music video for " Larger Than Life" :D

SWEET job on the ships and the cockpit details. Those glowing lights really make the pic standout. THe perspective and the mix of shading and CG really did it for thsi pic^^. SERIOUSLY GREAT WORK ^^

Hey. That's pretty cool. I love your colors and designs.

Good stuff. Your effort really shows.

There are no Pan-Asian supermarkets down in Hell, so you can't buy Golden Boy peanuts there.

WTF?!? BackStreet Boys?!? Sanda says that there is no real conection, she also says that she isn't a big fan so she can't be sure... are you a big fan??? Lol! Jk. =^.^=

Thanks anyways for the coment, always nice to have a laugh!

Dang Alex, excellent piece! There is only one niggle I have with it. The yellow lighting on the pilots head in the foreground is perhaps a bit overextended? I am assuming that lighting is coming from the afterburn trail of the nearest visible craft. If so, it appears as if the lighting is coming more over the curve of the head than it perhaps should?

But everything else is incredible. For some reason, I'm especially drawn to the perspective of the HUD on the foreground crafts ship, just looks exceedingly well done, as does the rest of it. :)

Thanks guys, I'm so happy to see that people liked it. Took me some hard work and a bit of insisting on it. =^.^=

About the afterburner light on the pilots head: Yeah, my girlfriend said the same thing... you might be right. Maby I'll fix it some time, but for now I'll just leave it. hehehe. I'm a bit lazy to go back an fix it just now. Thx for the coments! =^.^=
:iconnaithin:
I'm not familiar with gimp, but if it works with layers, it shouldn't be too difficult to fix. If however its all single layer, or has already been flattend, would be a bit more difficult. It isn't that big a deal, just somethin thought would point out, for future refence in new works, if nothing else. :) It doesn't detract too much from the work at all, I still love it.
